For those who LOVE staying organized with tasks and also for those who don’t mind great apps at no cost, any.do is the app to get. Not only is this app renowned by yours truly, it was the Winner of Apple’s Intuitive Touch Award and Android’s Best App of 2012. So, if you don’t believe me, believe them. This app has a very clean, clear-cut aesthetic which is appreciated among the mountains of frilly, distracting planners. With this app, you can set reminders, upload attachments, share tasks with other people, and comment on tasks. Furthermore, this application can be synced with all desired devices so there is no mess of losing a planner or tangible task organizer and having all plans lost forever in the abyss of being a college student. Or just frantic adult. But those two are basically the same thing. One of my favorite features of this application is the action shortcuts. If you need to call someone and you set a reminder with someone’s first and last name, or how the name is in your phone, then it will pop up with a phone icon by the reminder. When the time comes, you don’t have to go from the reminder in the app, back to your contacts and search for the phone number, you can just touch the phone icon beside the reminder and it will begin calling. This is also a feature for emailing, which is incredibly useful as a college kid who is constantly emailing professors about assignments.
